The MAYA-USAL project is supported by the Ministry of Digital Transformation within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan (PRTR), funded by the European Union - NextGenerationEU.
The recent advances in generative artificial intelligence and large language models have made these tools capable of reaching a level of quality that allows them to become sufficiently competent assistants for many areas. One of these fields where they can be of great help is in application development, where they can assist individuals with limited technical knowledge in the specifics of development. In this course, we will explore the most relevant aspects of the techniques behind these models, and through practical cases, we will learn how to use them to aid in application development. The course is particularly aimed at individuals with little technical knowledge who want to get started in the world of AI-assisted development, but it may also be of interest to other profiles looking for ways to incorporate these tools into their workflow.
Methodology: The course is designed through a series of training videos, complemented with additional reading material and resources, intended to be followed without prior technical knowledge, working through the content sequentially over the course of a few weeks or months, and concludes with a test on the contents, which, upon passing, will allow the participant to receive a certificate of course completion issued by the BISITE group at the University of Salamanca.
Course Outline: GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer), Usage of CHATGPT and its capabilities, Llama 2, Practical cases for application generation.
